Anglesea Town | Anglesea

Paradise for the surfing enthusiast and one of Victoria's leading holiday haunts on the Anglesea River. Reached by the Great Ocean Road, it offers attractive facilities for the tourist. Good fishing in both sea and nearby streams appeal to the fisherman. A good camping ground is situated on the river in a sheltered area close to the town.

Apollo Bay Town | Apollo Bay

This lovely holiday place is reached by car through Geelong and on to the Great Ocean Road; a fisherman's paradise, as most creeks are well stocked with trout. There is also excellent Bay fishing. Campers and caravanners will be delighted with the conveniences at the many camping grounds near the Recreation Reserve on the Barham River.

Ararat Town | Ararat

Formerly a mining town but now a progressive farming centre on the Hopkins River; there is a diversity of interests for the tourist. The nearby Grampians gives opportunity for day trips of scenic beauty. An inspection of the local vineyards can be arranged. The sporting enthusiast will find golf, tennis and swimming.

Aripiles Town | Mitre

A Farming township and centre of interesting tourist country. Interesting trips can be made to Mount Arapiles, Mount Talbot and Mitre. Camping is available at Mount Arapiles three kms from the town.

Axedale Town | Axedale

Situated on the Campaspe River in rich agricultural area. Swimming, fishing and bushwalking are popular pastimes. The town is within easy reach of Bendigo and many spots of general interest.

Bacchus Marsh Town | Bacchus Marsh

Founded by Captain W.H. Bacchus to whose grave there is an annual pilgrimage here. The town reflects progress and is approached from Melbourne down the beautiful Avenue of Honour. A visit to the nearby Werribee Gorge National Park is worthwhile. The shopping centres are good as are also the facilities for out-door sport. For campers there is a natural site on the river flat near the town.

Bairnsdale Town | Bairnsdale

On the Mitchell River and a paradise for the tourist. Within easy reach are the famous Gippsland Lakes and the beautiful Buchan Caves. The Lakes can be viewed from Eagle Point. Barwon Heads Town | Barwon Heads

Popular holiday resort at the mouth of the Barwon River with good camping ground immediately south of the town and near the beach. There is good swimming and plentiful sport for the bushwalking. There is a fine recreation reserve and a splendid golf course.
