Greyhound Australia has reduced the price of its Airlie Beach (Queensland) Mini Traveller pass by 15 per cent.

The Mini Traveller pass is one of Greyhound Australia’s most popular travel options, offering passengers a 45-day hop-on hop-off bus pass between some of Australia’s most popular tourist destinations.

According to the company, it’s a popular option with backpacker travellers.

The route between Sydney and Airlie Beach, includes plenty of stopovers including Coffs Harbour, Byron Bay, Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Hervey Bay, Rockhampton and Mackay.

Travellers can use the Airlie Beach Mini Traveller pass from three departure points, Sydney, Byron Bay or Brisbane.

The end destination is the Whitsundays, with prices for the passes starting from $185.

Greyhound Australia chief executive, Robert Thomas said February seemed the perfect time to put the Airlie Beach pass on sale.

“Now backpackers have the great mix of warm weather and off-peak season prices in the beautiful Whitsundays, and a cheaper way to get there,” he said.

“It’s one of the most affordable, environmental and hassle-free ways to travel and experience the best Northern NSW and the Queensland coast has to offer.

“The Mini Traveller pass provides 45 days of travel, so backpackers can take their time and stay longer in the beautiful coastal towns and cities along the way.”

When booking the pass travellers can book their accommodation and a wide range of tours and adventures along the way, at the same time.

“Greyhound Adventures provides a huge range of affordable accommodation and travel experiences between Sydney and Airlie Beach such as learning to surf, camping on Fraser Island, snorkelling and sea kayaking to cruising with the dolphins in Moreton Bay,” he added.
