Greyhound has released a new travel pass where passengers pre pay for the number of kilometres they wish to travel.

Greyhound chief executive officer, Robert Thomas said it offered flexibility and could be used used like a bank account. “People purchase the amount of kilometres they wish to spend which they can withdraw whenever and wherever they like around Australia. “The kilometres can be used to travel to one of our 1100 destinations around the country or for one of the several experiences available,” he said. Travellers can purchase from 500 to 20,000 kilometres which are then exchanged like currency to spend on distance travelled or on Greyhound’s Australian tours. Thomas said passengers could experience the best Australia had to offer, whether this was the coast, outback, wildlife, getting back to nature or all of the above. “In tropical North Queensland people can discover the Whitsundays and the unforgettable Great Barrier Reef with a range of sailing and diving tours or experience an exhilarating 14,000 ft tandem skydive over the islands. “Travel a little further South and you can enjoy whale watching off Hervey Bay between July and October or spend a few days on the world’s largest sand island, Fraser Island.” ‘The Great Ocean Road (Victoria) is one of the best drives in the world and is something we definitely recommend travellers do,” he added. Greyhound tours include the Yarra Valley wine country in Victoria and South Australia’s Barossa Valley.
