Australians can discover their own backyard in style

Australian tourism operator, Discovery Holiday Parks, is expecting an increase in domestic tourist numbers following the economic squeeze on household budgets in future months.
Discovery Holiday Parks, chief executive, Tim Dodds, predicted Australians would forgo overseas travel and discover their own backyard with the current global credit crunch and the low Australian Dollar.
He claimed with budgets getting tighter, holiday parks were an excellent opportunity for families to escape the everyday humdrum and enjoy a carefree getaway in some of the country’s most idyllic locations.
And they needn’t sacrifice comfort to take such a holiday.
“We provide a unique, friendly and memorable holiday experience in a safe, friendly environment with a strong community feel,” Dodds stated.
“A number of the cabins feature dishwashers and washing machines with some containing luxurious spas.
“Campers have access to the great camp kitchen facilities that often double as the hub for evening activities and entertainment.
“A number of our holiday parks feature jumping pillows, swimming pools and other free children’s activities, that allow parents to relax and indulge in some personal time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings at only a fraction of the cost of what they would normally pay at hotels,” he added.
The company offers a variety of accommodation styles ranging from deluxe self-contained cabins to fully powered campsites, with private facilities.
They include Port Stephens, Pambula Beach, Eden (NSW), Koombana Bay (WA), Robe (SA) and Bowen (Qld).
