Moreton Island National Park

Covering an area of 17,000 hectares Moreton Island National Park lies 40km East of Brisbane. The island is made up almost entirely of sand and contains the world's tallest sand hill at 280 metres. Beautiful freshwater lakes are a principal feature. At the North Eastern end of the island is Cape Moreton Lighthouse built in 1857, the oldest in Queensland.
