Canning Dam and Araluen Trip - Perth, WA

Canning Dam and Araluen Trip

The tour to the Canning Dam provides the opportunity of seeing the State's largest reservoir whilst passing through some of the prettiest parts of the Darling Ranges. The forward journey is by the main southern road to Armadale (28 km), a little township at the junction of the main roads to Bunbury and Albany, and thence through the hills to the Canning Dam. After an inspection of the reservoir, the tour is continued through the hills for a further four km to Araluen where a stop is made for refreshments. The homeward journey is by Roleystone (a hill-side township), Kelmscott, and thence along the main southern road to the city.
