Queen's Gardens, East Perth

With water-lily ponds, flocks of waterfowl, and weeping-willow trees, Queen's Gardens is an area of eight acres at the eastern end of the city. Formerly a disused quarry, landscape gardeners have transformed the old excavations into a series of lily-covered lagoons connected by a miniature canal system.

A Peter Pan statue stands between the lakes at the western end. It was donated by the Perth Rotary Club to the children of Western Australia, and was one of the last works executed by Sir George Frampton, R.A.
