Hobart to Russell Falls and lake Fenton Trip (160 km)

This is a tour through the hop-gardens and fruit-growing districts in the Upper Derwent Valley. On the outward journey, the way lies along the southern bank of the Derwent River to New Norfolk. After crossing the river, the fruit-growing region of the Derwent Valley is traversed, and thence the journey is continued to National Park and Russell Falls, where lunch is taken. The homeward journey is through the hop-gardens of the Glenora Estate to the Salmon Ponds, thence along the southern bank of the Derwent River to the city via New Norfolk.
