The first weekend features a Garden Festival, featuring specialist nurseries and talks about plants. The long weekend features a Food and Wine Festival showcasing local produce and wine.
The week long festival also includes the usual municipal events: a Queen of the Festival competition, a street parade of decorated floats, musical and dramatic offerings, and a Mayoral Ball.
