Princess Margaret Rose Caves

Princess Margaret Rose Caves are located in the natural bush surrounds of the Lower Glenelg National Park and is one of the most highly decorated caves in Australia. The caves are 30 minutes drive from Mount Gambier and 15 minutes from Nelson.

The caves features stalactites, stalagmites, cave coral and a variety of other amazing formations. Perhaps the most unusual of all formations in the cave are the helictites; defying gravity, these long, thin formations grow in all different directions.

Three motor cabins are available for overnight accommodation.

Each cabin has hot water, sink, microwave, fridge, hot plates and sleeps 4 people in two double bunks.

A large picnic area has been developed among the trees near the cave. Wood barbecues, picnic tables and tiolets are provided.
