ANZAC Day Dawn Service
Date: Wednesday 25th Apr 18
Time: 5:00 am - 9:00 am
Canberra’s ANZAC Day Dawn Service is the Nation’s most moving ceremony. Gather with thousands of Australians in the pre-dawn light to not only commemorate the anniversary of the first military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces, but also to remember all Australians who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.

Experience the emotion of the lone bugler playing the Last Post and leave a poppy on the Tomb of the Unknown Australian Soldier. After the ceremony, gain a true understanding of the experiences of our ANZACs and explore the galleries at the Australian War Memorial.

Dawn services are held at several locations throughout Australia including Martin Place Sydney, the Shrine of Remembrance Melbourne, ANZAC Square Brisbane, the State War Memorial in Perth and the Hobart Cenotaph.

The spirit of ANZAC, with its human qualities of courage, mateship, and sacrifice, continues to have meaning and relevance for our sense of national identity.
