Hamilton, located 74km north-west of Hobart on the Lyell Highway, is a historical Tasmanian town dating back to the early 19th century. On the last Saturday in March this unspoilt and charming village hosts its annual agricultural show.

The show hosts the Derwent Valley Regional Wine Show and Central Highlands Poetry Competition. There is also a number of displays and sideshows.

There is plenty of food available including a barbecue, morning and afternoon teas, food vans, game meats and oriental food stalls.

The trial sheep dogs and camp drafting commences at 7.30am. Other judging and events begin at 9.00am.

Admission is $6 for adults, $2 for children or $15 for a family pass (2 adults and 2 children under 14 years).

The Hamilton Agricultural Show is a fantastic day out for the whole family. Come and experience country life with a carnival atmosphere.
