The King Island Pastoral, Horticultural and Agricultural Society hold their annual show on the first Tuesday in March. King Island, situated in Western Bass Strait, is only 50 minutes by air from Melbourne and Devonport.
The show features a large range of events and attractions including art and craft displays, wool judging, cattle judging, horse riding displays, pet competitions and the famous boot throwing competition.
The King Island Agricultural Show is a main event on the Island's calendar which is home to industries including dairy, beef and sheep due to its extremely fertile soil and mild maritime climate.
