In 1216 Peter De Montfort rebuilt the inner sanctum of Beaudesert Castle, England in stone. Whilst nothing of that fine work remains today, the craftsmanship and skill synonymous with Beaudesert are alive and well in a quintessential rural town on the Mount Lindesay Highway. Today the town of Beaudesert is less than an hours drive from Brisbane and Queensland’s ever popular Gold Coast. The Beaudesert Show held each year in early September with exhibitions show and competitions synonymous with the town’s historical standards of quality.

During your visit to the show you can also enjoy the surrounding majestic national parks and rainforests including the world heritage parks of Mount Tamborine, Mount Lindesay, Mount Barney, Mt Ernest, Mt May and Mt Maroon. A short trip to the fabulous Binna Burra Mountain Lodge is a must for those with bushwalking and interest in all things eco.
