Alice Springs Show
Start: Friday 28th Jul 17, 9:00 am
End: Saturday 29th Jul 17, 5:00 pm
Ever since The Central Australian Show Society organized the Alice Springs Show for the first time in 1960, it has been a source of great entertainment for all the family. People of all ages wait eagerly for this Alice Springs festival and join in the celebration with full fervor.

Originally the Alice Springs Show was organized to adhere to the tradition followed in all major rural centers around Australia to celebrate the spring time and bounty of nature endowed on people at that time. It is a traditional rural show with a very close association with the regional cattle stations, and is based on agricultural produce, livestock and craft.

Though it used to be based on agricultural produce, livestock and craft, however, with the passage of time and to cater to the needs of the modern times, the show now encompasses business displays, competitions, photographic, cooking and other contests.

It also brings the rides, attractions and sideshow alley offered at the big capital city shows to delight all children and families. Treat yourself to a dagwood dog, a bag of fairy floss, a jam doughnut or some fresh strawberries and cream.

The Alice Springs Show is always held on the first Friday and Saturday of July and the festivities reach a spectacular culmination with mesmerizing fireworks display. There is an entry fee applicable for the festival. The per day entry cost to the Alice Springs Show is AUD10.00 per adult with child, family and concession rates available. Children below the age of four can enter without a ticket and two-day passes for the show are also available. The Alice Springs Show finishes with a giant fireworks display.
